Breaking the fast at sunset during the holy month of Ramadan or the fasting of Farid  is a time for reflection and gratitude.

There are du’as that are narrated in the Sunnah which the fasting person may say at the time of breaking the fast also known as Dua for iftar.

ذهب الضما وابتلت العروق وثبت الأ جر إ نشاء الله

Dhahabaz- zaman wabtallatil-uruq wa  thabathal-ajru Insha Allah

The thirst is gone the veins are moistened and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills
(Abu-Dawud)

اللهم إني أسألك بر حمتك التي وسعت كل شيء أن تغفر لي

Allahummah innii as'aluka bi rahmatikal-latii wasi'at kulla shai'in an taghfira likita

O Allah I ask you by your mercy, which encompasses all things that you forgive me.
(Ibn Majah)

اللهم لك صمت وعلى رزقك افطرت

Allahummah kaka sumtu wa'alaikumussalam rizqika aftartu

O Allah for you I have fasted, and with what you have provided do I break my fast
(Abu Dawuda)
