The Seerah of the Prophet is like a spring whose water does not become clouded nor murky despite the vast number of people who constantly take from it [ it will never deplete ] It is also a garden that does not become crowded due to the presence of its many visitors. So let us then take the fruits from this garden [ and benefit from them ] drink from the fresh and cool water of its ponds, seek shade under the branches of its trees, and wander through its paths for a moment.

During this blessed month of Dhul Qa'dah, the Prophet decided to visit the ancient House ( i.e. the Ka'bah ) to perform ' Umrah, following a dream that he saw , and the dreams of the prophets ( peace be upon them ) are a form of revelation. In his dream, the Prophet saw that he and his companions entered the Sacred Mosque in a state of security some with their heads shaved and others with their hair shortened. He informed his companions of this glad tiding, and then their hearts began to yearn wanting to visit the Ka'bah for it had been six years since they had to leave it and their hearts had been longing for it all that time.

The Prophet set out with around fourteen hundred companions at the beginning of the month of Dhul - Qa'dah. He mounted his she - camel, directing it towards the Sacred House, urging it towards the spacious lands [ of Makkah ] with longing in his heart. He proceeded, not inclining towards any other destination except for the House [ of Allah ] He and his companions carried no weapons except those which were usually carried by a traveller.

The blessed caravan continued its journey until it reached Dhul - Hulayfah, upon where he entered the state of Ihram for the' Umrah. There, he the Prophet also marked his sacrificial animals and placed collars around their necks. He the Prophet did all this so that the observer from a far would know that he was a pilgrim coming to the House of Allah, not seeking battle.

There is a profound lesson in this for anyone who questions revelation when their intellect falls short of comprehending its objectives and understanding its meaning . Such people should recognize that human intellect has its limitations, which are the limitations in human nature. People of true knowledge and righteous scholars do not reject established evidence, nor do they oppose it. Those who arrogantly question and debate it only deceive themselves and put their ignorance on display. It is among the fundamental principles known to the those who are both knowledgably and firmly grounded in religion that the Quran and the Sunnah do not contradict that which is clearly rational.

Moreover, among these lessons and insights is that this religion is a religion of mercy and reconciliation. The Shariah ( i.e. Islamic law ) is a law of love and forgiveness. It is also a religion of trustworthiness, loyalty, commitments. and fulfilling The Prophet did not hesitate to accept treaty of Hudaybiyah, despite the biased terms it contained within it, in order to prevent bloodshed and maintain peace. He the Prophet strove hard in this regard and fulfilled his part of the agreement.

This emphasizes the immense blessing of security in the sacred land of Makkah and the majestic scenes of Hajj and Umrah that portray the greatness of Islam, and its grandeur, and the loftiness of its principles and foundations. Indeed the sacred house of Allah is a gathering place for Muslims, where bodies unite and hearts embrace, they come to proclaim the motto of monotheism and fulfill absolute servitude to Allah. All the differences people have dissipate there within, and the only distinction is based on faith and piety l.

The reality is that the true objectives [ of faith and religion ] are not fulfilled, its affairs are not rectified, and its intended purpose is not achieved except when it is enveloped in tranquillity, adorned with serenity, and shaded by security. This is a matter that Allah has facilitated for the Muslims and decreed for them in these blessed lands. Thus Muslims perform their rituals and fulfill their religious obligations, while enjoying the tranquillity security and prosperity within its vast territories Alhamdulliah for what He has bestowed granted, and provided Our Lord deserves praise.
