 Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim is a well-known Saudi Arabian imam, Qur'an reciter, and scholar who was born on January 19, 1964, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is the imam and khatib of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, one of the holiest sites in Islam.

Sheikh Shuraim started his education at an early age and memorized the Quran by the age of 12. He continued his studies and earned a degree in Shari'a (Islamic law) from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh. He also obtained a master's degree and a Ph.D. in Islamic jurisprudence from the same university.

Sheikh Shuraim is known for his unique recitation style of the Quran, which is characterized by his deep voice and melodious tone. He has performed the Hajj pilgrimage and led Tarawih prayers in the Grand Mosque in Mecca for many years.

In addition to his duties as an imam and Qur'an reciter, Sheikh Shuraim is also a respected scholar and has written several books on Islamic topics. He is a member of the Saudi Arabian government's Council of Senior Scholars and is involved in numerous charitable organizations.

Sheikh Shuraim has won numerous awards for his contributions to Islamic scholarship and Quranic recitation, including the King Faisal International Prize for Islamic Studies in 2010. He is highly regarded by Muslims around the world for his knowledge, piety, and dedication to promoting the teachings of Islam.
