Sheikh Ali Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Ali Hudhaify, the esteemed Imam and Khateeb of Masjid An Nabawi, Madinah Al Munawarrah, has carved a remarkable path in the realms of Islamic knowledge and spiritual leadership.
Born in 1366 AH in the village of Al-Qarn Al-Mustaqeem, south of Makkah, Sheikh Hudhaify hailed from a deeply religious family. Under the guidance of scholars like Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Hudhaify, he embarked on his educational journey. His scholastic pursuits led him to the Salafi Private School in Baljurashi Governorate, where he completed his junior secondary education in 1381 AH. Later, he earned his senior secondary education credentials from the Institute of Knowledge in Baljurashi in 1388 AH.
Determined to delve deeper into Islamic studies, he enrolled in the Islamic University of Imam Muhammad bin Sa’ud in Riyadh, graduating in Sharia in 1392 AH. After graduation, he became a teacher at the Institute of Learning in Baljurashi, imparting knowledge in Quranic interpretation, monotheism, Arabic grammar, and Arabic calligraphy. Concurrently, he served as an Imam in a local mosque.
Sheikh Hudhaify's academic pursuits did not end there. He earned his Master’s Degree from Azhar University in 1395 AH and later his Doctorate Degree from the same institution, specializing in Jurisprudence. Since 1397 AH, he has been an Associate Professor at the Islamic University, teaching monotheism and jurisprudence in the College of Law. His expertise extended to various departments, including the College of Hadith, College of Da’awah and Fundamentals of Religion, the School of Postgraduate, and the College of the Holy Qur’an, specifically in the Department of Recitations.
Beyond academia, Sheikh Hudhaify's eloquence in Quranic recitation has earned him international recognition. His recitations, accredited by prominent scholars such as Sheikh Ahmad Abdul Aziz Al-Ziyaat and Sheikh Aamir Al Sayeed Usman, have been broadcast on numerous radio stations worldwide.
In his esteemed career, Sheikh Hudhaify has held pivotal roles, including serving as an Imam in Masjid Quba from 1399 AH to 1401 AH and later as the Imam at the Prophet’s Mosque since 1402 AH. Additionally, he serves as the Chairman of the Committee for the Revision of the Holy Qur’an in Madinah and is a member of significant committees related to the preservation and dissemination of the Holy Qur’an.
