Khateebs for Jumu’ah in Haramain – 8th Shaban 1446 (7th February 2025)

Admin

The blessed day of Jumu’ah holds a special place in Islam, as it is considered the best day of the week. It is a day when Muslims across the world gather in mosques to listen to the Khutbah (sermon) and perform the congregational Friday prayer. Among the most sacred places where Jumu’ah prayers are held are Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid An-Nabawi in Madinah, collectively known as the Haramain Sharifain.

For this upcoming Jumu’ah, scheduled on 8th Shaban 1446 (7th February 2025), the following esteemed scholars will be delivering the Khutbah:

  • Masjid Al-Haram (Makkah): Sheikh Ghazzawi
  • Masjid An-Nabawi (Madinah): Sheikh Budair

The Importance of Jumu’ah in Islam

Jumu’ah is a weekly Eid for Muslims and a day filled with immense blessings. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

"The best day the sun rises over is Friday; on it, Adam was created, on it, he was admitted to Paradise, and on it, he was expelled from it. And the Last Hour will take place on no other day than Friday." (Sahih Muslim)

The Jumu’ah prayer is a powerful reminder for Muslims to renew their faith, seek forgiveness, and reconnect with their Creator. The sermons delivered by the Khateebs in the Haramain Sharifain are particularly significant, as they address not only the worshippers present in the mosques but also millions of Muslims worldwide through live broadcasts.
